Due to a combination of work schedules and upcoming bad weather, we ended up having to accelerate our plans a bit and woke up at dawn this morning to head over to New Bedford, where there's a Spectra-authorized shop who will investigate what's going on with our watermaker (with parts of it still in warranty).

We woke up at 5:30 and could barely see the next boat over in the mooring field, and weather predicted the fog lifting shortly, so we went back to bed for 45 mins. Didn't help. We got under way anyway, feeling our way around with Radar. We even did a online notarization, which started off great with, "and what city are you currently in?", triggering us quickly pulling up google maps to give a reasonable answer about what city or even state we were nearest to at the time...

All in all, an uneventful journey, and we'll see when the shop can get to us this week (we have a reservation for Friday, but they might be able to move it up). The only real thing of note was that Highwind was fairly easily able to get up on plane and stay there with fuel tanks near 90% and full water tank, which, before the engine service over the winter, it was unable to do. So that's a good sign that the new injection pumps are, in fact, working better. Inquest is staying over by Newport for a bit longer, and we'll rejoin somewhere along the way after we sort out the watermaker.
